Wreck Diver

2 Days

4 Dives

Why wreck dive?

Whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident, wrecks are fascinating windows to the past. Ships, airplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying something others have missed. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while observing responsible wreck diving practices.

Explore Bonaire and its history

Every wreck is different. During the PADI Wreck Diver course, you’ll learn how to explore different types of wrecks by investigating their layout, history and hazards, and practice specialized wreck diving skills. We will put this all together over the course of four dives on, around and inside the famous Hilma Hooker wreck. This wreck lies at an ideal 30m / 100ft of depth which gives us the opportunity to teach this specialty to Advanced Open Water dives and allow for limited penetration on the final dive if you want to explore a bit of the Hilma Hookers engine room.

Once you’ve experienced a few wreck dives, your interest will only continue to grow. Taking related courses, such as the PADI Deep Diver course and the PADI Enriched Air Diver course, will give you expanded ability to visit deeper wrecks and potentially stay and explore longer.
