The story of VIP Diving
After many years of traveling and diving all over the world, Bas Noij and his wife Ellie settled down on Bonaire. In 2007 Bas started running dive tours on a freelance basis and in 2009 he started VIP Diving. From day one Bas has had a steady following of people that loved his vision of diving “VIP style”. With top-notch equipment, at the best possible spots but above all, with incredible attention to detail and service. VIP Diving Bonaire has blossomed into a truly unique dive operation. The moment you walk through our doors, you will feel the joy and the passion that our whole team has for showing you the best time possible.
Almost 14 years after starting the company, Bas Noij transferred the shares of VIP Diving to the new owners in May 2023. Jonathan Oosterhof and Jan van Nieuwamerongen are well-known faces to those who know VIP Diving. Jonathan has worked for VIP Diving as PADI Divemaster and Instructor from 2012 until 2017 and has been back in the role of operations manager since 2021. Jan has been with VIP Diving since 2022 as a PADI instructor after an impressive career in the Netherlands and selling his previous business there.
Jonathan and Jan will continue and improve what has made VIP Diving famous, delivering the best personal service and quality for an unforgettable diving experience on Bonaire.
For Bas, this step does not mean a goodbye. He will stay at VIP Diving in the role of advisor and will assist Jonathan and Jan where needed.
