As an IDC Staff Instructor, you can independently teach PADI Assistant Instructor courses as well as assist with IDCs and other instructor-level continuing education courses.

PADI eLearning

9 knowledge sessions

After a pre-assessment of your instructor-level knowledge of dive theory and role-model presentation techniques, you'll dive into key topics such as PADI instructor development standards, procedures, and curriculum. You'll also learn how to organize and conduct the PADI Assistant Instructor course and explore the psychology of evaluation and counseling. This section builds the foundation for your ability to mentor future instructors.

Training with instructor

X days

During training, you'll gain hands-on experience by evaluating knowledge development, confined water, and open water teaching presentations. You'll also have the opportunity to audit an Instructor Development Course (IDC) or practice teaching many curriculum components, solidifying your ability to coach and assess instructor candidates effectively.
