PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

Are you a PADI Divemaster ready to elevate your leadership skills and become a scuba instructor in Bonaire? Becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor offers the chance to do something extraordinary, help transform lives, and unlock new opportunities.
To become a certified instructor, complete the Instructor Development Course (IDC), which includes the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. After the IDC, you must pass the Instructor Examination (IE) and be an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor.

Assistant Instructor
The AI course introduces you to the PADI System and helps you gain teaching experience. You'll learn through confined water skill development, open water workshops, knowledge development, and presentations. After completing the AI course, you can independently teach some PADI courses and assist others.

EFR Instructor
To become an Open Water Scuba Instructor, you must be an EFR Instructor. This course focuses on developing your instructional abilities to teach CPR and first aid skills.

The full course including the Emergency First Response Instructor course takes a total of 11 days of training, followed by two days of examination by a PADI examiner.
