TEC 45 Instructor

Diving beyond recreational depths with open-circuit technical gear has allowed tec divers to discover amazing underwater wrecks and photograph never-before-seen marine organisms.

Tec 45 Instructors expand tec divers knowledge and skills preparing them to explore the technical diving realm. As a TEC 45 instructor you are allowed to teach the 2^nd level of TEC-REC. This means you are qualified to teach Discover Tec programs and teach the PADI Tec Basics, PADI Tec 40, and Tec 45 Diver courses. There is also an option to become a PADI Tec 45 Trimix Instructor.

PADI Tec 40 Instructor, or taking the Tec 40 and Tec 45 Instructor courses concurrently

25 EANx dives deeper than 30 metres/100 feet

10 decompression dives wearing full technical equipment

Succesfully complete the PADI Tec 45 Instructor course, practical applications and exams

Certified 25 divers
(No more than five from courses without dives, no more than five from PADI Seal Team or Master Seal Team registrations.)

Course overview

Begin by completing the self-paced learning modules, then join us for a session where our experienced instructors will guide you through essential skills.

Training with instructor

2 days

The Tec 45 Instructor course ensures you have a good grasp of the courses you’ll teach and how to teach them. You’ll practice conducting knowledge development, practical application and workshop sessions, and open water teaching segments. Your PADI Tec 50 Instructor Trainer will also go over organization and marketing considerations for PADI TecRec courses.

Course assist

Assist with a Tec 45 Diver or Tec 45 Trimix Diver course with a PADI Tec 45 Instructor or Tec 45 Trimix Instructor, and act as a certified assistant during a complete Tec 45 Diver or Tec 45 Trimix Diver course. You can also assist with a PADI Tec 50 Instructor Trainer or Tec 50 Trimix Instructor Trainer, and act as a certified assistant during a simulated course that includes Tec 45 Training Dive One - Part Two and Tec 45 Training Dive Three.
