The PADI TEC 50 course is the third part of the full PADI TEC Deep diver program. You will gain the knowledge and skills to make extended range dives to a maximum of 50m / 165ft. You’ll know how to make dives with multiple decompression stops using two decompression gasses.

Tec 50 Trimix (option)
Curious about the benefits of using Trimix gas, like decreased gas density and reduced narcosis? Tec 50 divers can also learn to use trimix with not less than 21% oxygen and not more than 40% helium. This course prepares the diver to move into deeper, more complex trimix diving, such as the PADI Tec Trimix 65 and PADI Tec Trimix courses. Ask your dive instructor what additional requirements you may need to complete the Tec 50 Trimix option.

Requirements

PADI TEC 45 diver*

PADI Rescue diver* **

Minimum age: 18 years

Minimum of at least 100 logged dives, incl. at least 20 dives using enriched air (Nitrox) at a depth deeper than 18m / 60ft and at least 15 dives deeper than 30m / 100ft (with or without Nitrox).

The primary focus of this course is learning advanced dive equipment options, techniques and procedures using two deco cylinders, and how to plan more complex dives. You also learn more how to handle emergencies, support diving considerations, and sharpen your thinking as a technical diver. Tec 50 Trimix students also learn about dive planning and diving with Trimix.
