Navigate like a pro
Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you’re going. The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass and natural navigator techniques underwater. If you like challenges with big rewards, take this course and have fun finding your way.
Arrive precisely where you mean to
It’s easy to get disoriented underwater if you don’t know how to use a compass or natural navigation clues. Learn how to easily find your way back to boat or shore without returning to the surface and avoid long, exhausting swims. On Bonaire, this is especially important due to the prevelance of self-guided shore dives.
Divers who haven’t gotten their gear wet in ages don’t always understand the importance of taking a refresher course. Although the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course touches important topics of returning to diving, a trend among divers returning to the water is actually to retake the Underwater Navigator course because it includes some of the most important skills they have ever learned. Here are some examples:
- Surface Relocation
- Recalibrating digital compasses
- How to choose natural navigation markers
- Setting a compass and navigating a course
- Important of tracking air and time, not kick cycles
- How to compensate for drift
- 10 Years Old
